Emerald Coast Open: Lionfish Tournament
The Emerald Coast Open is the largest lionfish tournament in the world. Weigh-ins are being held on the docks at AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar May 17th - 19th . Weigh-in times are: Friday, May 17th 3pm till 6pm Saturday, May 18th 3pm till 6pm Sunday, May 19th 7am till 11am Awards are Sunday, May 19th 3PM ( APPROX) Live Music Schedule -Friday, May 17th: Austin Jennings 6pm -Saturday, May 18th: Jarred McConnell & High Aces on AJ's Jumbotron Stage 1pm. Vanessa Dawn Rodgers Tiki Stage 6pm. -Sunday, May 19th: Justin Colvard 5pm after the awards. Join us on the Destin Harbor from AJ's to Harborwalk Village on May 18th & 19th and enjoy thenLionfish Removal & Awareness Day Festival from 11AM - 6M. The festival will feature family-friendly games, art, music, diving, and conservation booths, and Lionfish demonstrations. Bring your friends and family to learn about Lionfish, check out Lionfish products, as well as stop by AJ's and try Lionfish as our menu feature for the day, and watch the weigh-ins! Since 1984, AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar has been serving cold Gulf Coast oysters and cool libations. What began as a popular local hang out known for fresh oysters and cold beer has grown into one of the most iconic “hot spots” on the Destin Harbor. From our humble beginning shucking oysters off the deck behind a small trailer on the Destin Harbor, we are proud to have grown to four locations along Florida’s Emerald Coast, serving the freshest seafood, best live music and most exciting water activities on the Emerald Coast.

This is the place to be during the day and at night. Went for dinner and enjoyed the service. After dinner we went upstairs to the bar.The waiters helped with popular menu items. Parking is free if you park in the lot near the bar entrance...

We love to on Sunday's and sit outside and enjoy the great views and fabulous food. We had lunch portion of the clam strips with fries and coleslaw the clam strips for nice and tender. And we had a huge bowl of fresh boiled Crawfish WOW...
